Young people between 10 and 18 are being offered an amazing opportunity to devise collaborative theatre during a 3 day event hosted by the British School Al Khubairat Abu Dhabi. This is the first time that the BSME and ISTA (The International School’s Theatre Association) have worked together on an event and the results promise a spectacular few days for all. ISTA has been running theatre festivals across the world for over 35 years and have a unique philosophy that brings about proven, life changing and hugely rewarding experiences for young people; as well as enriching professional development for their teachers.
Students will work alongside top theatre artists and educators from around the globe devising a performance based on a tailor made starting point. From the 16th to the 18th of March (arrival on the 15th – departure on the 17th) the BSME festival will bring schools together from across the Middle East.
Theatre skills, specialist workshops and collaborative ensemble building all led by some of ISTA’s most internationally renowned theatre practitioners, young people will create inspirational work and learn from each other, whilst their accompanying teachers benefit from CPD sessions at no additional cost.
ISTA is a not-for-profit international arts organisation committed to providing high quality experiences that develop creative learning and internationalism through theatre. ISTA collaborate with a number of East Asia's leading international schools for their popular festival experiences. Read more about who ISTA are and what they do.
